Crafting Patrone Lighting — A Process Shaped by Social Responsibility
Learn about our conscious approach to production —
where contemporary design meets social inclusion.
For Thorup, socially responsible production is about ensuring that every step of the process supports our ethos of crafting objects with integrity — designed to endure and defined by purposeful detail — where the making is approached with the same intention as the product itself.
Each Patrone Lamp is proudly crafted in Denmark through close collaboration with skilled craftspeople and dedicated individuals — a partnership that upholds our commitment to quality across every stage of the Patrone Lighting lifecycle, from thoughtful material sourcing to responsible production, ensuring that every piece reflects our dedication to craftsmanship and integrity.
The final step of the production journey takes place in northern Zealand, Denmark, where every lamp is carefully assembled and packaged by our skilled production team at a social employment center. This center provides meaningful work opportunities for individuals who face barriers to traditional employment. Their precision, care, and dedication ensure that each Patrone Lamp meets the highest standards before it leaves our hands — a true reflection of Danish craftsmanship and social responsibility.
